How soon after baby is born do you recommend taking portraits?

As a mom? I say, take your time. As a photographer, I suggest within the first 2 weeks. I always suggest at-home sessions or at-hotel/at-hospital sessions (for those of us, like myself, who don’t want to have to re-make my own bed after taking photos). Hotel costs will be factored into price.

Do I need to buy props?

As a photographer, I do have a collection to pull from. Once we have our initial phone call to discuss photo ideas and what sort of props or outfits you might want, I will always let you know what I do have available.
